As expected, the Bankies progressed to the next round of the Scottish Cup by defeating Third Division Girvan by three goals to one, but we didn’t half make it hard for ourselves. Having been a goal down to a penalty after half an hour, we fortunately recovered the deficit sixty seconds later.Once we got our noses in front early in the second half, the result was never in any doubt, but the Bankies still found it difficult to put the game to bed.
