Match Report

This match was played under Junior League auspices at Clydebank, and attracted a good attendance. The ground conditions militated against anything like a good display, but not withstanding, the game was a fast and hard one throughout. The home team at the start fairly took the measure of the Petershill contingent. They were soon in the vicinity of the visitors' goal. where they were awarded a penalty. but Gilhooley saved this. A visit was paid to the home end, where the Hill had a penalty, from which Houston opened the scoring. The homesters pressed, and after some tricky play, Ralston gave them the equaliser. Keenly contested play, without scoring, obtained to the interval. In the second half the home team proved the superior lot. Other three goals in quick succession were piled on by Graham, who was far and away the best man on the field. Close on time the 'Hill managed to score through Corlett. Through this victory the Juniors have avenged the defeat sustained at Atlas Park.
