Match Report

A draw was perhaps the best result that could have happened in the League game between the above teams at Kilbowie Park, and was a reflection of the run of play.

At ten minutes to go the home side looked like winners, but an extra pressure by Maryhill forwards and a fine shot by Bell put the teams on an equality about four minutes from the close.

In the opening stages of the game Maryhill had by far the best of the play, and had the forwards utilised a few of the many chances which came their way they might have established a lead which would have brought them out winners. But shoot the forwards could not, and when the hall did reach McTurk the goalkeeper was equal to the calls made upon him.

Then the Clydebank forwards broke away. and Woods, after forcing a corner, placed the ball so nicely that Anderson headed into the net. No further scoring took place till after the interval when as already stated Bell equalised the game near the close.
