Match Report

Under Glasgow League auspices the above clubs met at Germiston Park before a small attendance. The Vale kicked off, and at once visited the Juniors' defence, but without success. The Juniors by clever footwork transferred play, and in five minutes time Grey put them one up with a nice shot from close range. Thereafter play contested on even lines for about half-an-hour, but the Juniors eventually came away strong and once again beat Logan. A foul was the means of the Vale getting their first goal, and to Hunter fell the honour of beating Forrester. Half-time was soon afterwards called. On changing ends the Vale had the best of matters for a little, but the Juniors' defence stood the test. Hill and Rollo transferred play to the Vale's quarters, and when the former had beaten every one of the home defenders, Logan tripped him up just outside the penalty line. Munro who took the free kick, sent the ball yards wide. Shortly after this Wilson got the equaliser for the homesters. Both clubs then set to gain the lead, but when time was called the score was still 2 each.
