Match Report
This League match, played at Saracen Park, attracted a surprisingly large attendance of spectators. Ashfield had out a team composed of reserve and juvenile players, while Clydebank, although not at full strength, were represented by the majority of their cup tie players. In the first half, Ashfield, even against the wind, more than held their own. From goal out the team played splendidly, the forward play at times being delightful to witness. Clydebank got their only goal five minutes after the start, D. Anderson scoring from short range. After the first fifteen minutes, Ashfield made things a trifle lively at the Clydebank end. Curle, after a splendid run, scored a lovely goal with a shot from the touch line. Ashfield continued to press and were value for their win.
