Match Report
The 'Hill kicked off. A fine tackle by R. Anderson almost immediately let the Juniors round Massie, who, with Black and Allan, put up a grand defence. The 'Hill then got clear and in their first run down scored, Currie tipping the ball past Wakeman in a melee round the goal. The same player added a second as the result of a misunderstanding among the home defence. The Juniors were very active after this, but the Hill's defence was very reliable, and no further scoring took place. The Juniors missed two grand chances at the opening of the second period, Ashcroft and France failing when well placed. The 'Hill opened the scoring again. Somers and Currie broke away, and a fine cross from the former was caught and breasted through by Rollo. The Juniors had several chances after this, but always failed to finish, and the game ended 3-0.
