Match Report

A fairly good crowd was present at Helenslea Park, Parkhead, on Saturday, when the Clydebank Juniors opposed the local club in the League competition. The game opened well, and it was evident that there would be few dull moments. The Juniors were first to make any headway, and for about twenty minutes the Parkhead defenders were kept busy. After this, however, they took matters more seriously, but although they made one or two determined efforts to get through, they got no reward. The Juniors had more or less the best of the exchanges until half-time, when no goals had been registered.

On changing ends, the Parkhead took up the running but the visitors' defence proved too much for them. The Juniors did not play near so well this half, and when they lost the services of Stirling it looked as if they would drop full points. They, however, stuck to their guns, and not only kept the home lot from scoring, but also found time to give Forrester and Company some hard work to do. Time was, however, called before either side had scored, and a goalless draw was about a true indication of the play.
