Match Report
These rivals met at Kilbowie under the auspices of the Glasgow League before 3,000 spectators. After Renfrew's opening burst the local men took the game in hand, and Anderson scored. From an exciting scrimmage round Purdie, McNair cleverly equalised, then Clydebank failed to score from apenalty, and half-time arrived with the score one goal each.
The Victoria proved the better lot in the second half, and when Clark gave them the lead it was well deserved. A last desperate effort by Clydebank resulted in Brown equalising from short range, and a keen game ended in a draw of two goals each.
