Match Report
This fixture attracted a large crowd to Kilbowie Park. The opening stages favoured the home lot who had the wind in their favour. Two comers were forced in quick succession by the Vale, but they made nothing of them. For some time play was keenly contested by both teams, but ultimately the Juniors broke away, and Gibson opened the scoring with a good shot. The Vale tried hard to equalise, but the splendid defence of the homesters nullified all their efforts. A fine piece of play by the Vale forwards resulted in Fulton securing the equaliser, but just on the interval Leitch put the Juniors one goal ahead with a great shot. In the second half play was of a more even nature, but it was well on towards the end before my further scoring took place, Spence securing the third point for the Juniors close on time. The game was a tame one all through, and the best team won.
