Match Report

This was a much better overall performance from the Bankies. At one point it looked like it was going to be a cricket score with chances being created all over the place. Little and Kasubandi scored early on, but some incredible wastage in front of goal could have easily seen that score doubled before half time.

As has been the case for much of this season, the Bankies haven't been able to play consistently well for a whole 90 minutes. Maybole, who beat league leaders Largs Thistle the week before, were much more robust in the second half. Had they have converted one of their chances it could have made the last quarter very interesting.

In saying that, the Bankies could also have wrapped it up much earlier but had to wait until injury time before Little got the third.

After a dip at the tail end of the year, the Bankies look to be returning to some kind of form with three clean sheets in a row. Largs are in the middle of a poor run themselves - dropping points at home again today - and the lead at the top is down to a single point. It also means the clubs behind now need to win just to keep pace. A decent day for the club.
