Match Report
At Clydebank, before 3,000 spectators Rob Roy started, and looked like sprinting away, but a grand tackle by R. Anderson let the home forwards off, and Kirkwood had a warm time. The Rob Roy got some time to settle, the home half-backs being in brilliant form and giving away no chances. The Clydebank men played with fine understanding, and after some good touches in front of Kirkwood, Spence opened the scoring. The Rob Roy had now a run at the other end, and Anderson shot over. The Juniors again got to Kirkwood's end, and from a well-placed corner kick W. Anderson scored a second. The Rob Roy looked like reducing the leeway at the restart of the second half, Anderson after a brilliant individual run scoring close in. The Juniors however, played with confidence which practically settled the game. After Mitch had shot over, a brilliant shot by McLean gave the Juniors a third goal, which followed shortly afterwards with a fourth. The Rob Roy were not much in evidence after this last reverse, and the Juniors ran out comfortable winners by 4 goals to 1.
