Match Report

Played at Well Park, under Junior League auspices, and before a large attendance. Playing downhill the Juniors were the first to force the pace, and ere the game was three minutes old Leitch had given them the opening goal. Shettleston tried hard to equalise, but the Juniors' defence was in capable hands, and time after time the homesters had to retire pointless. A breakaway by the Juniors resulted in Frame annexing the second goal, but nothing daunted the home team rushed matters, and during a scrimmage in front of goal Mooney scored. Almost immediately after Smith gave them the equaliser. This was the score at the interval. In the second half the game was keenly contested, but no further scoring was done on either side. Both teams were evenly matched, and on the run of the play the result was a fair reflex.
