Debut

September 28th, 2019
Carluke Rovers 1 - 3 Clydebank

Scottish Junior Cup (2nd Round)

Timeline

  • Clydebank completed a routine victory over Carluke Rovers at the John Cumming Stadium to progress to the third round of the Scottish Cup. Rovers were spirited but the game panned out as much as you would have expected with Clydebank scoring their goals at the right times without ever playing at a high level. The score could have been a bit more emphatic with Carluke’s keeper making some fine saves to keep the scoreline respectable.

  • The misery for Clydebank supporters extended to yet another week as the Bankies lost for the very first time at New Southcroft Park. The 2-1 reversal to Rutherglen means that Clydebank have lost to all three bottom teams in the league in recent weeks. It is all the more galling as Rutherglen had not won in the league since August and were currently on a 12 match winless streak.
