A young tall well built lad who came as a trialist from Cambuslang Rangers with a very big reputation. Was wanted out on trial by Rangers and Queen of the South. Played the last two games of the 1967/68 season. He was the third or fourth goalkeeper Clydebank had used in two months because of an injury to the Clydebank regular goalie Dick Madden. Unfortunately young Porter had a very tough time and lost seven goals in his two games. He returned to Cambuslang Rangers.
