Clydebank returned to winning ways with a 4-2 victory over Queen's Park Strollers at Hampden Park.
Only a partial match report survives, but it records a strong Clydebank performance which saw the Bankies recover from an early setback to take control of the contest.
The opening stages were fairly quiet before Clydebank created the first clear opportunity. Following a corner, O'Brien met the ball first time but narrowly missed the target.
Queen's Park then enjoyed a spell of pressure and forced the Clydebank defence onto the back foot. The Bankies back line stood firm on several occasions, breaking up a number of promising attacks, but after 25 minutes the home side took the lead through I. Campbell following a well-worked move.
Rather than allowing their heads to drop, Clydebank responded positively. The visitors began to assert themselves and, after several near misses, drew level in the 33rd minute when O'Brien found the net.
The Bankies continued to press and went ahead only a few minutes later. McLeish embarked on a solo run before finishing with a powerful shot to give Clydebank a 2-1 lead.
The surviving contemporary report ends at that point, but Clydebank went on to secure a 4-2 victory and collect two valuable points from their visit to Hampden.
While the details of the second half have been lost, the result represented an encouraging response to the previous week's defeat against Airdrie Reserves and maintained the Bankies' positive start to life in the Combined Reserve League.
