Played for Clydebank as a trialist in a 2-2 draw with Stirling Albion and was not allowed to leave the dressing room until he had signed a contract. Had only played six games for Pollok Juniors at that stage in his career. Young, fast, pacy winger who also made a good impression on his debut in a 4-0 win over Stranraer. He only had an eight game Bankie career in which we picked up three wins. This was a more than reasonable record in a season which only produced eight wins in total. He was a local boy from Drumchapel and he undoubtedly had ability but for some reason he was released at the end of the season. His brother is the slightly more well-known Andy of Everton, Aston Villa, Wolves and Sky Sports fame.

This was Clydebank's best win of the season and one of their easiest. Stranraer had no answer to Clydebank's fast and skilful play and their main fault lay in defence where their keeper had a nightmar

Bankies had a very unhappy end to the season at Kilbowie when they played host to Stenhousemuir , a team they should have beaten had they not succumbed to slack play, the undoing of many teams.
