Clydebank were the superior team in the second half and shocked Alloa by rattling in three goals during a devastating 15 minute spell in this league match at the Recreation Grounds.
Bankies were well served by a compact defence with Billy McColl being the star player in this sector.
The wing half adopted a roving commission and kept the forwards supplied with the ball. Centre forward Bell an able leader in the attack and Larnach was a clever winger.
Alloa's brightest spell was in the first half but the Bankies supremacy after the interval knocked the heart out of the Wasps.
Clydebank provided the first shock in the 8th minute when Larnach, against the run of play, netted with an angular drive.
Play favoured Alloa after this and in the 21st minute, Substitute Stewart was brought on for Corrigan who was feeling the effects of a recent leg injury.
The homesters levelled the scores in the 33rd minute when McCulloch converted from the spot following an infringement against Wilson.
The turning point of the game came in the 47th minute when George Brown had his goal disallowed. From McCulloch's corner Brown came in contact with the keeper as he headed the ball into the net.
Clydebank then took command and Bell grabbed a couple of goals within five minutes. His first was in the 54th minute. From McColl's free kick the ball rebounded from the outstretched McWilliams and Bell was on the spot to send it home. His next was a snap effort in the 59th minute and the ball entered the far corner of the net.
The visitors kept up the pressure and ten minutes later ex-Wasp Joe McCallan swept the ball into the net to make it four. Nut in the 77th minute Alloa reduced the deficit when Brown headed the ball home from Low's corner.
With seven minutes to go Bankies brought on Law for Love.
