Match Report

Buoyed by their New Year's Day triumph over Dumbarton, the Bankies continued their good form with a hard-fought victory away at Cowdenbeath on Tuesday.

The visitors wasted no time in asserting their dominance. Arthur Paterson rose majestically to head home John Baxter's pinpoint cross in just the seventh minute, sending the travelling Bankies support into raptures.

Just seven minutes later, Tony Moy added his name to the scoresheet, extending his seasonal tally to 15 goals. This quickfire double punch stunned the home side and put Clydebank firmly in control.

However, Cowdenbeath refused to roll over. They piled on the pressure throughout the second half, testing the Bankies defence to its limits. The Clydebank backline, resolute and determined, held firm under a sustained barrage, weathering every Cowdenbeath attack.

This battling display secured two valuable points for the Bankies, propelling them into the top eight of the league table. With the season just at the halfway stage the Bankies faithful can dare to dream of an even higher finish come the end of the season.
