Biography

Brian Harkin will long be remembered as the first Bankies captain to lift silverware above his head for the club on its return to Junior football. It would be fair to day the Brian plied his trade at the lower end of Junior football, but he turned out to be a fantastic signing for the Bankies. Brian had great organisational skills and as club captain led the Bankies to the Central League Second Division title in 2003-04. Brian was left out of the side for the early part of the next season due to fitness concerns, however was brought back into the side as the defence were leaking goals. His return was met with six consecutive victories and four clean sheets. After completing three seasons at the club and 98 appearances, Brian moved on to Vale of Leven. He will forever be held in high regard by Clydebank fans for his contribution during his time at the club.
