Match Report


Livingstone's hard drive was pushed up in the air by McDonald and Cramond headed a dropping ball against the crossbar. McDonald had another full length-save from Third.

A busy keeper. McDonald palmed out a cross by Gordon just out of the reach of Third.

McPaul beat Gollan in Bankies' first attack but the whistle had gone for offside against the centre.

A swerving shot by Currie was touched round the post by Gollan.

Another goal was refused but this time at the Montrose end when Livingstone bundled keeper and ball in the net from Gordon's cross.

A snap shot by Hay was deflected for a corner and from the flag kick Currie's dipping shot dropped over the bar. Gollan came out to beat Munro to a through ball while Martin went upfield to lay on a pass from which McDonald saved brilliantly from Crammond.

Bobby Smith was booked following a Bankie's corner.

Cramond was given a clear run but put his centre behind the goal. Livingstone went through beating four defenders but lost the ball to Hall for a corner..

Montrose scored in 54 minutes. BRIAN THIRD catching up a pass back by Ruddy and beating McDonald with a shot which went in off the keeper.

Martin blocked a shot by Love in a dangerous Bankies move. - KANE equalised with a shot near the post in 67 mins after good work by Munro. MCPAUL put Bankies ahead in 75 mins again after Munro had headed down a cross from Kane.
