Never in a long time have I seen Clydebank play so well yet miss so many open chances in 90 minutes than at this game at Ochilview Park on Saturday.
Stenhousemuir never really got themselves going in the first half, judging by their many laboured attempts for possession of the ball, and poor finishing in front of goal.
After some boring and fruitless play in midfield during the opening stages, up came Muir's Thomson with a hint of excitement.
He missed a great chance, however, when he shot a hard ball against keeper Gallacher in the 11th minute.
Bankies own Thomson also gave the home side a stir, though, when a seemingly simple shot for the next rolled agonisingly past the post.
Number one for Clydebank and the first goal of the match and our old friend Roxburgh was there.
A minute before the half time whistle Muir's Rose sliced a clearance against a team mate only to be met by Mike Larnach who crisply hooked a low cross to oncoming Andy.
Five minutes after the restart and it was the home sides turn to put on the pressure.
Wight equalised in the 50th minute when keeper Gallacher misjudged his drive from 20 yards.
Things evened up, the Bankies sought once more to take the desired lead. They were rewarded only one minute later; once more up popped Andy Roxburgh.
In an anxious moment for the 500 crowd he shot the ball towards the net only to watch it hit both posts before rolling thankfully over the line.
Minutes later McColl hit the bar from a free kick and a Roxburgh shot sailed past in a grand effort. Clydebank could most certainly have won by a much greater margin in this match.
