Match Report

Although there was little between the teams in the early stages, this was an easy two points for Clydebank.

McColl just missed with a low drive and Hamilton shot over in the Forfar reply. Forfar were lucky when Milne dropped the ball, then a scoring shot from a Clydebank forward was deflected clear.

Hopcroft came up for a shot for Forfar then Larnach through for Clydebank. He should have scored but his shot hit the side net.

Milne saved a certain goal when he dived to smother a point blank shot by White. Gaps were appearing in the Forfar defence and Falconer raised the siege for the Loons. From a good move Kyles shot just past the post.

Clydebank went ahead when left winger ROXBURGH netted from close range following good leading-up play by White.

Fraser had a good try for Forfar just before the interval.

Clydebank continued to be the - sharper side and following a fine crossfield pass from McColl, inside right HENDERSON netted. The Forfar goalkeeper was too slow to get down to a soft shot.

Forfar substituted Sutherland for Hopcroft and moved their back four round, but it made little difference.

Gaps continued to appear in the Forfar rearguard and the whole side seemed to lack the urge to get back into the game. Milne redeemed himself with a great save from White.
