The scoreline suggests a comfortable afternoon at Rosebank Park, but a spirited Lugar side made the Bankies work for their win. The ref also helped in no small measure, but he can be excused to a degree as the lack of assistant referees made his job near impossible.

First Goal - Clydebank 5 - 0 Gartcairn
The scoreline reads like a routine day's work for Clydebank, and I suppose in the end it was, but up until the second goal went in this was quite the contest. In fact, Gartcairn were the better side for most of the first half.

Last Goal - Largs Thistle 2 - 3 Clydebank
Clydebank broke their terrible run of results with a spirited victory against Largs Thistle at Barrfields Park. For long periods Largs were the better side and when the Ayrshire side took the lead just after half time it looked like another defeat for the Bankies. However, when Cammy McClair equalised with a fortunate cross/shot it transformed his team mates who seemed to find an extra yard in the last quarter of an hour. Most supporters would have taken a point but were thrilled to see Nicky Little latch on to a through ball and prod it past McGowan to take all three.

Clydebank can have no complaints as they were well beaten at home to Pollok by four goals to one. The Bankies were never at the races as Pollok outclassed the Bankies in every department on the field. They closed down the Clydebank players quicker, moved the ball faster and just all round looked a much better side.
